Operations Manager - Healix International

Salary: Dependant upon experience.

Location: Hampton, Middlesex.

Healix International provides a medical advisory and case management services to our clients within the UK and overseas. Due to new business and our expanding workload, we have an opportunity within the Expatriate team of Healix International for a registered nurse to join us as the Operations Manager.

The Role Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the medical advisory servicet o both UK and expatriate clients of the Foreign and Commonwalth office.

Responsibilities:

  • The provision of an efficient, cost-effective service to clients, 24 hours a day
  • Management of the UK based medical and non-medical team members
  • Provision of support and advice to medical and non-medical team members to ensure cases are managed professionally
  • Liaison with medical staff within Healix, the NHS and providers overseas in order to manage cases efficiently and ensure the very best care plan is established for patients
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, clinical audits, guidelines, protocols and policies as required
  • Prepare and deliver ongoing professional development programmes for team members
  • Deputise for the Contract Manager, as required, attend internal and external meetings and maintain client relationships.

The Hours  The Operations Manager will be required to work a 35 hour week, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, plus some 'on-call' evening and weekend work.  The service Healix International provides is 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Between the hours of 10pm and 8am the service is provided by the Healix office in New Zealand.

Whilst the position is full-time, a job-share arrangement could be considered.

The Person  We require a registered nurse with at least 3 years recent clinical experience within adult nursing, with experience of line/tam management, including: performance reviews, resourcing, budgeting and recruitment. Applicants should have good IT skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work within a team environment as well as directly with clients, and be able to work independently in order to plan and manage their workload.
