Tourists are feeling nervous of travelling to Antigua following the tragic shooting of a honeymoon couple on the island
Acting on behalf of RBS Insurance, Healix arranged repatriation of the groom by air ambulance after he and his new wife were shot on the last day of their honeymoon at the Coco Hotel in Antigua in what police believe was a robbery that went wrong. The bride was killed instantly following a shot to the head and the groom was left in a critical condition and subsequently died in hospital in Swansea.
The Antiguan High Commissioner in London, Dr Carl Roberts, said the killing was the first tourist murder on the island in 10 years and Antigua was still a safe place.
